We are seeking an experienced Manager – Financial Crime Subject Matter Expert (KYC & Transaction Monitoring) to join our growing Financial Crime practice.
This role combines deep technical expertise, people leadership, client advisory, and operational oversight. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, leading the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements, supporting complex financial crime investigations and escalations, and driving improvements across KYC and Transaction Monitoring programs.
As a Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering high-quality outcomes, developing team capabilities, supporting business growth, and contributing to the design and enhancement of financial crime compliance frameworks.

About the Role

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, leading the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements, supporting complex financial crime investigations and escalations, and driving improvements across KYC and Transaction Monitoring programs.

What You Will Do
Depending on your SME assignment, your responsibilities will include:
As Know Your Customer (KYC) SME:
Policy & Technical Expertise
• Acting as the primary point of contact for KYC policy interpretation, procedural guidance, and regulatory clarifications
• Reviewing and advising on complex, high-risk, or non-standard KYC cases and client scenarios
• Interpreting regulatory updates and translating them into practical guidance for delivery teams
• Supporting policy impact assessments and procedural updates
Delivery & Quality Enablement
• Providing expert support to analysts and QC teams on quality findings, escalations, and judgment calls
• Participating in quality calibrations and alignment discussions to ensure consistent application of standards
• Supporting internal quality assurance initiatives and regulatory readiness activities
• Acting as a senior escalation point for policy- or risk-related delivery issues
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
• Supporting advisory workstreams, client discussions, and solution design related to KYC frameworks and operating models
• Collaborating with global teams and engagement leads on policy questions, remediation approaches, and regulatory expectations
• Contributing SME input to proposals, process improvements, and client deliverables where applicable
Capability Building
• Facilitating induction, refresher, and targeted training sessions on KYC policies and regulatory developments
• Supporting knowledge sharing and continuous capability uplift across delivery and quality teams
As Transaction Monitoring (TM) SME:
Transaction Monitoring Expertise
• Serve as a subject matter authority and point of contact on TM policy and frameworks, AML typologies, alert logic, and investigation methodologies
• Provide expert guidance on complex or high-risk alerts, end-to-end investigations, and escalation decisions.
• Interpret regulatory guidance and client requirements related to TM and translate them into operational standards
Optimization & Enhancement
• Support TM optimization initiatives, including scenario reviews, threshold tuning, and alert quality improvements
• Analyze alert volumes, false positive rates, and investigation outcomes to identify optimization opportunities
• Contribute to the design, refinement, and enhancement of TM scenarios and monitoring rules in collaboration with clients or advisory teams
• Support data-driven assessments of TM effectiveness and risk coverage
Advisory & Stakeholder Support
• Participate in advisory workstreams related to TM operating models, regulatory remediation, or monitoring enhancements
• Support client discussions, workshops, and solutioning related to TM frameworks and regulatory expectations
• Collaborate with global teams, compliance stakeholders, and engagement leads on TM-related questions and initiatives
Delivery & Capability Enablement
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to TM analysts and QC teams on typologies, investigation quality, and decision-making
• Support calibration sessions to align investigation and disposition standards across delivery teams
• Leads all training programs and quality initiatives, ensuring knowledge updates and feedback are communicated effectively
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Criminology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML, KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, Investigations, Risk, Compliance, or Financial Crime Consulting.
