AML/CTF Compliance Officer

New

Satispay · Luxembourg, Luxembourg

About us

Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance.

That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.

What you'll be doing

As our AML/CTF Compliance Officer, you'll support collaborations across teams to guide the safe innovation and introduction of new products while upholding regulatory integrity.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Identify and assess risks – Detect money laundering and terrorist financing risks, highlight weaknesses, and issue recommendations, taking a leading role in assessing risks specific to card issuing networks, investment platforms, and digital assets.
  • Product compliance – Partner closely with the Product team to support new launches and ensure continuous AML/CTF compliance of existing features.
  • Provide second-line oversight – Oversee first-line transaction monitoring and name screening operations, acting as the ultimate escalation point and conducting deep-dive investigations into high-risk customer relationships.
  • Report suspicious activities – Review suspicious activity and transaction reports to submit to competent authorities.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance – Collaborate with first-line teams to ensure Customer Due Diligence requirements comply with Luxembourg’s legal and regulatory framework.
  • Develop and refine policies – Assist in drafting and reviewing AML/CTF policies, procedures, and guidelines across all product lines.
  • Enhance training and awareness – Contribute to AML/CTF training programs to educate the organization on unique ML/TF risks.

Who we're looking for

This role needs someone proactive and analytical, capable of solving complex compliance challenges and balancing rapid innovation with prudent risk management.

  • AML/CTF expertise – 3+ years in AML/CTF Compliance, ideally in a Fintech, with specialised knowledge of ML/TF risks in payments, trading platforms, digital assets, and card networks.
  • Regulatory knowledge – Strong understanding of Luxembourg and EU AML/CTF regulations regarding Customer Due Diligence.
  • QA & monitoring – Hands-on experience conducting compliance quality assurance and monitoring activities.
  • Task management – Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple high-priority tasks with high accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and communication – Skilled at engaging with stakeholders across various business units to navigate AML/CTF compliance challenges.
  • Mindset & soft skills – Curious and communicative, with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies.

Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special: if you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
